Smoothie Feast Day Four
Hellou ![]()
Wanna catch up on what you’ve missed?
START HERE.
OK ![]()
So day four was good!
I feel like I learned something new today.
I’ll tell you about it at the end…
Here’s the menu
MORNING
3 cups of water
2 cups of homemade ginger tea
(without the peppermint)
2 cups of Coconut Mint Smoothie
(same recipe as Smoothie Feast Day Three)
AFTERNOON
2 more cups of homemade ginger tea – without the mint
4 cups of Kale Orange Ginger Smoothie
OK. THIS, I love ![]()
See the recipe for
Kale Orange Ginger Smoothie below.

This recipe makes 4 cups
of Kale Orange Ginger Smoothie.
5-6 big Kale leaves
2 medium sized oranges
(peeled & seeded)
1 cup of lemon juice
Annnnd 1 cup of chilled homemade ginger tea
(I used the same recipe as before – without the mint)
Blend everything together and enjoy ![]()
Can we say ENERGY???
I was feeling very lah-dee-dah and quite tempted to take a nap before I had this because of my lack of sleep. After having it, I was like, what’s a nap? lol. Try this recipe out. You might wanna add some raw honey if your oranges are not sweet, but I didn’t use any and it was great.
EVENING
1 cup of water
Liquid B vitamin complex
Liquid vitamin D3
1 cup of Energy Soup.
Slight change to the Energy Soup recipe I used in Smoothie Feast Day One.
Ran out of raw almond butter so I used 3 TBLSP of hemp seeds instead.
Tasted just as great.
I also had 2 cups of Spicy Kale Tomato Soup.
Delicious! See the recipe for Spicy Kale Tomato Soup below.

This recipe makes 10 cups
of Spicy Kale Tomato Soup
2 cups of water
1/2 cup of Lemon Juice
About 7-8 large Kale Leaves
2 Roma Tomatoes
2 green onions
1 Avocado
1 whole cucumber
(peeled)
5 sprigs of Dill weed
3 TBLSPS of ground flax seeds
(I grind them in my blender and store them in the fridge)
1/2 cup of sesame seeds
1 TBLSP of Oregano
1TBLSP of cumin
1 tsp of sea salt
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
I actually blended up all the ingredients the day before
so when I was ready for it I warmed it up on the stove on low
with a Tablespoon of coconut oil in the pot.
SO GOOD. Really love soups ![]()
You can have it cold, but the seasonings taste awkward and you probably won’t enjoy it that way. If you warm it just a little on a low setting with the coconut oil it tastes GREAT.
The garnish on top is extra cayenne pepper.
How I’m feeling

Today turned out to be a really good day ![]()
Started out sleepy cause I went to bed late the night before and had to wake up on time to write my article for Sway Magazine, but after my green smoothie in the afternoon it was all sweet sailing. Energy stayed strong for the rest of the day. Ran my errands. Finished my Integrative Nutrition homework. I even took some personal “me time” to get caught up on some of my favourite youtube channels hehehe.
What I learned
So I was saying that I learned something new today. I went grocery shopping and it was the first time I had been since starting the smoothie feast. Just before starting the feast the tug and pull of temptations to buy things that I shouldn’t had been quite strong. What I learned is that it’s a lot easier to go shopping when you have a focus in mind. I’ve talked about the benefits of writing a list before in my column at Sway. But it seriously took on new meaning today. It was so much easier to dismiss certain items that are only partially good for me that would normally call to me from the shelves, simply because I knew they had no part in my smoothie feast. It’s so much easier to focus when you have a goal. We know this, but we often forget.
Anyway friends – It’s just after 10PM so I’m off to bed ![]()
This weekend is going to be quite the adventure!
My baby cousin is going to be dedicated at church on Sabbath, and of course I’ll be staying for lunch
So this will be my first time hanging out and socializing with others who are eating regular foods while I’m on the smoothie feast. And sunday the holiday celebrations begin! We’re having family dinner at my Dad’s house lol. My step mom called yesterday and says… “So, you’re really not going to eat ANYTHING????” lol
They’ve been reading my blog.
Anyway, I probably won’t have time to post anything on the weekend but I will keep track of everything and catch you up to speed when Monday comes
Subscribe to get a free copy of my ebook, Breaking Cravings and connect with me once a week.
Alrighty then… See you laters!
Have an AWESOME WEEKEND!

Disclaimer
You should always check with your doctor before you make drastic changes to your diet for an extended period of time. Although I’ve never done a smoothie feast for longer than a few days, I’ve been eating mostly raw foods since the Spring of 2010, so this is not a drastic change for me. Should you choose to follow along with me or have your own personal smoothie feast, make sure you listen to your body and stay well balanced by using a wide variety of food. And remember you do not have to do 56 days to start reaping the benefits of a smoothie feast. 8 weeks is a long time for most people. If you are anaemic or pregnant please consult your doctor before you try this. I can not be held responsible for any medical condition or disorder that you may have or acquire, so please, take care of yourself.
