This is the first in my series of book reviews
at Simply Natural Ideas.
I’ve got about 5 or 6 six books on my shelf
that I’ve been meaning to read for
quite some time now.
I know there’s a ton of good info in those books,
so I figure doing weekly chapter summaries and book reviews
is a great way for me to get through them!
I hope you’ll take advantage of the chapter summaries every week.
And if you want to read along with me, there will be links for you to get the book inside the weekly reviews. I will do my best to have them posted for you every tuesday.
LIGHTS OUT. Sleep, Sugar, and Survival
by T.S Wiley with Brent Formby, Ph.D.
PART ONE: SECRETS AND LIES
CHAPTER ONE: WE WANT TO BELIEVE:
The Church of False Gods
This chapter is about revealing the truth
about how we’ve all been brainwashed to believe
that if we eat low fat diets
and exercise like crazy
we will loose weight and be healthy.
CHAPTER TWO: INTO THE DARK:
An Extinction-Level Event
The main point of Chapter Two is pretty much saying that
the human race is working their way towards extinction.
Whether you believe in creation or evolution,
it’s pretty easy to see that
the human race simply can not
continue on the way that we are living now.
CHAPTER THREE:
Environment Controls the Genetics of Obesity
The main point of chapter three is that we live in
an environment that requires order and balance.
When that balance is thrown off,
everything from your mind, your body,
your immune system, the bacteria on your skin
and in your gut,
and even your genes are affected.
Maybe we can’t blame it all on our
parents after all
CHAPTER FOUR:
Sleep and Your Hormones
I thought it would be kind of fun
to share some fatty facts about
sleep, sugar, and your hormones from
chapter 4 that made me think.
I imagine these excerpts will be
food for thought for you as well.
So here we go!
